Nope, there are many adware and trojans which can simply bypass windows defender.
Windows defenders can increase your problem more by deleting only some files of a virus and then the virus can be indetectable by windows defender.
And viruses can easily make backdoors due to windows defender.
I use VM and I replace the window almost every 2nd day because almost tools like checker and crackers have viurses.
