Step-by-Step — Apply, Wait, Log In, Done
Requirement: You need a VPN set to a US IP address. The application portal checks your location. Use a residential VPN server if possible — datacenter IPs occasionally get flagged.
Step 1 — Submit the Application
Go to Tyler Junior College Admissions and click Apply. The application is completely free, online, and takes 10-15 minutes. Fill it out with consistent, real-sounding information — fake-looking names or impossible addresses can cause issues downstream.
TJC has an open-door admissions policy. They accept everyone who applies. You don’t need transcripts, test scores, or proof of anything to submit the initial application.
Step 2 — Wait for Confirmation
Expect a response within 24 to 72 hours. Once approved, you’ll receive a confirmation email containing your A-Number — this is your student ID and your login username.
Check your spam folder. The confirmation sometimes lands there.
Step 3 — Log Into the Student Portal
Go to: myapacheaccess.tjc.edu
| Field | What to Enter |
| Username | Your A-Number (from the confirmation email) |
| Password | TJC + your date of birth in MMDDYY format |
Example: Born January 5, 1998 → password is TJC010598
Step 4 — Claim Your Email
After logging in, find and click the “Email” option inside the portal. You’ll be redirected to your new university email inbox — a fully functional .edu address tied to TJC.
Immediately after getting access: Set up email forwarding to your personal Gmail/Outlook. If TJC ever deactivates the account, you won’t lose verification emails from services you’ve already signed up for.
