Google has stopped the “Check mail from other accounts” (POP3 retrieval) feature for many users, and many hosting providers now make you choose either email hosting or email forwarding.
The challenge is that clients don’t want to pay for Google Workspace or Microsoft 365.
With IMAP, mailbox storage eventually gets full, and deleting emails to free space removes them from all devices. With forwarding-only accounts, users can receive emails but cannot properly send from their business email address.
