“study.com” is a good website to get a college education. Their videos or text courses (for those who prefer to read) are great. But it’s a paid website.
Here is how to access their courses for free (Don’t worry, it’s been like this for YEARS, and they know it. It’s probably not going to get fixed soon).
For example, I want to see the full lesson and full videos of this webpage :
https://study.com/academy/lesson/diffusion-coefficient-definition-equation-units.html
So, I inspect it.
<div id=“transcriptMain” class=“transcript wikiContent”>
<div class="faded-content">
<div class=“hidden” ng-non-bindable="">
Replace “faded-content” by “0” (or any other value)
Replace “hidden” by “0” (or any other value).
Good job, you now have a full access to the course.
But you probably want have access to the full video too.
<div id=“wistia_wzxpd2vzj3” class=“wistia_embed wistia_embed_initialized” test-id=“wistia_embed” data-wistiaid=“wzxpd2vzj3” data-wistiaoptions="{
"sample": false,
"isAutoplayable": true,
"hashSeekEnabled": true,
"tracking": 352667,
"hasPreroll": false,
"stillUrl": "/cimages/videopreview/videopreview-full/zknaf52m87.jpg"
}
So the full video key embedded in wistia is “zknaf52m87”. We found it here :
“"stillUrl": "/cimages/videopreview/videopreview-full/zknaf52m87.jpg"”
And the full wistia link to access the full video is here :
https://fast.wistia.net/embed/iframe/zknaf52m87
But you can’t just open this link in your browser. You’d also have to change the referer to “study.com”.
There is an easier way though. Just install yt-dlp : https://github.com/yt-dlp/yt-dlp
By the way, this is a great command line tool to download videos on a lot of websites.
In the command line, just type :
yt-dlp https://fast.wistia.net/embed/iframe/zknaf52m87
Now, you also have the full video of the lesson :)
